Get your vehicle registered in Washington the easy way

Things to Know

First, you must get your Washington driver license, then register your vehicle(s). You have 30 days to do this after you've moved here.​ A + Auto Licensing does not provide driver licenses, but does offer expedited vehicle registration.

Contact the Washington Department of Licensing (DOL) to schedule an appointment online or by phone at 360-902-3900.

Washington uses DIFFERENT offices for driver licensing and vehicle licensing. New residents cannot get their license and vehicle registration at the same location.

Registration requires the title for the vehicle. If you are making payments, we have a form for you to fill out. We can fax it to your lender for you. We will give you a call once we receive a copy of the title so you can register your vehicle

Office payments are CASH or CHECK only. We have an ATM in our lobby for your convenience

Overview

  • Find out what you need depending on your situation (Title to the vehicle, or a copy of the title from lienholder if you are making payments)

  • Submit your forms and payment at a local office near you

  • Get your plates

  • Set up a License eXpress account

  • Open a Good-to-Go account, if needed

  • If your vehicle is 2011 or newer, please note your mileage

Good to Go: if you drive the following roads:

  • SR 520 Bridge

  • Tacoma Narrows Bridge

  • SR 167 HOT Lanes

  • I-405 Express Toll Lanes
